³⁷ The king of Egypt made his brother Jehoiakim king of Judea and Jerusalem. ³⁸ Jehoiakim put the nobles in prison, and seized his brother Zarius and brought him back from Egypt.

³⁹ Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he began to reign in Judea and Jerusalem; he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord.
